Ramón Salaverría Aliaga

Ramón Salaverría is Associate Dean of Research of the School of Communication at the Universidad de Navarra, where additionally he is deputy director of the Center for Internet Studies and Digital Life.
He is Associate Professor of Journalism, specializing in research about online journalism and digital media, topics in which he has an extensive bibliography. His most recent book, Ciberperiodismo en Iberoamérica (2016), is a detailed analysis of the evolution of digital media in the 22 countries of Latin America, Spain and Portugal.
On the international level, he is member of the World Journalism Education Council. Likewise, since 2016 he is part of the Board of Directors of SembraMedia, a non-profit organization with headquarters in Los Angeles (USA) dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship in digital native media in Latin America.
He was Chair of the Journalism Studies Section de ECREA (European Communication Research and Education Association). During 2014-15 he was visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Austin (USA). A consultant for media companies and trainer of journalists, he has given courses and keynotes in 31 countries.
