Author of several books such as La radio y la televisión local en Aragón (Local radio and television in Aragón, 2002), La eficacia de lo sencillo. Introducción a la práctica del periodismo (The effectiveness of simplicity. Introduction to the practice of journalism, 2006), and La gestión de la información en la Administración Local (Information management in the Local Government, 2008), among others. The latter two books were co-written with José Juan Verón Lassa. He also has a large number of publications in scientific journals in the field of communications, among which stand out Zer, Chasqui, Palabra Clave, Doxa, Anàlisi, Enl@ce, Letras Peninsulares, F@ro, Textual & Visual Media, Ámbitos, Trípodos, Comunicación y Hombre, Estudios sobre el Mensaje Periodístico and Diálogos de la Comunicación. He is currently involved in two projects funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation: "The social construction of the Euro-Mediterranean space in the media. The information in press and television" (CSO2008-01579/SOCI) and "The public policies for the promotion of the information society in Spain: evaluation of strategies and actions in nine autonomous communities" (CSO2008-00587/SOCI).
